Biography of Mike Merino

Mike Merino serves as Chief Operating Officer of Nifty after Fifty. He oversees the operation’s day-to-day business activity, as well as all franchise operations and business development.  Mr. Merino has more than 25 years of health care management experience.

Prior to Nifty after Fifty, he was the Chief Operating Officer of CareMore Medical Enterprises.  He also served as President and CEO of the Southern Indian Health Council, which provided medical, dental, mental health substance abuse rehabilitation and senior services in San Diego County. 

His experience includes management positions with the Motion Picture and Television Fund, where he worked with members of the Screen Actors Guild, Writer’s Guild, FHP, and American Health Incorporated (AHI).  He has also been an independent consultant to health care clients in California, Hawaii, and North Carolina. Mr. Merino holds an MBA from California State University, Fullerton.
